The new IMAM building – Women’s Institute and Municipal Archive – building designed by nodo17 (Manuel Perez Romero),
this is the one of artistic institute building located in Mostoles, Madrid, Spain.
Its an award winning building for a competition which called for new facilities for the Women’s Institute
and also the city’s Municipal Archive.
The competition brief called for the facade of a former casino to be rebuilt (see pictures).
Galvanized steel plates were used on the facade.
The architects’ wanted to create a ‘raw’ building, so the structure and services have been left exposed.
